General Insurance

Building & Contents Insurance

No lender will agree to give you a mortgage without buildings insurance. If you are the freeholder (you own the building and the land that it stands on), it is your responsibility to arrange this insurance.

Your property is the lender's security on the loan, so it will understandably want you to have that property insured against damage from fire, subsidence or heavy storms.

Your lender will not insist on your taking out contents insurance, but it is highly recommended.

Your lender will usually offer to sell you a buildings & contents insurance policy, though you may get cheaper cover via Central Finance & Property Ltd as we use a panel of insurers that have competitive rates for building & contents insurance products.

All buildings and contents policies will have exclusions, but we will explain this when you apply.

ASU /MPPI - Accident Sickness Unemployment / Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance

By taking out ASU / MPPI product alongside your mortgage, you can set the deferral period yourself, knowing that a proportion or all of your mortgage payments / council tax / household bills are safeguarded and will be covered after a certain number of weeks or months (usually 30, 60 or 90 days) for a given period in the event of sickness and/or accident and redundancy.

We aim to search the market to beat your existing insurance premiums however cost savings are not guaranteed.

Income Protection Policy

This type of insurance product is designed to provide you with an income in the event of unemployment and/or accident and sickness.
